When Supergirl moves to her new home on the CW, she’ll be joined for the first time by her famed Kryptonian cousin Superman. Andrew Kreisberg and Greg Berlanti told IMDb about their plans for Season 2, including a role for the actress who embodied TV’s first iconic superheroine and the first-ever crossover storyline between all four of DCU-set series.

A Quadruple Crossover Storyline Will Start on "Supergirl"
All four of the DCU series on the CW will converge in an epic crossover storyline. "A piece of the story will start in 'Supergirl,' reveals Berlanti. "There will be connected issues to 'Supergirl,' but if you were watching as a beginning, middle and end, I think just production-wise the way that we've imagined it, the storyline starts in the first period of "The Flash." It will be helpful if you watch 'Supergirl' the night before."
For the first time, all the series’ heroes will be battling the same enemy. "It will be one unified threat," says Berlanti. "We haven't done global threat yet on the show so that's new."

Lynda Carter Will Play the Mayor of National City
Lynda Carter, who played Wonder Woman in the 1970s TV series, will guest star as the National City mayor. "There's some fun twists with the character too that I think people will be really excited by," says Berlanti, "It pertains to [Carter] for sure.”
"We actually wanted to have the president in the Season 1 finale," says Kreisberg. "We unfortunately couldn’t work out Lynda’s dates, so we wrote her out because we really wanted Lynda Carter to play the president. So we just decided we would wait a little bit, and we’re so glad it worked out. We’re so excited to have her on. We have a long tradition of having people like Dean Cain and John Wesley Shipp, people who have formerly portrayed superheroes on the shows, and we’re glad to continue that tradition.”
